If there’s one thing that actress Hailee Steinfeld has proven, it’s that she’s a force to be reckoned with. In 2013, Yahoo named Steinfeld “the hardest working 16-year-old in Hollywood.” That title certainly fits the actress, model and singer who is known for her roles in Ender’s Game, Romeo & Juliet and True Grit, which earned her an Academy Award nomination, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a BAFTA Award.
It has been a whirlwind couple of years for Steinfeld, who is of Filipino descent. In fact, with over a dozen films to her name, it’s easy to forget that she is only 18-years-old.
“I have moments all the time where I realize how far away I am from home and all I want is to curl up in my bed and watch a movie, light a candle and be alone,” Steinfeld admits to NYLON. “But as often as I have those thoughts, I try not to take anything for granted, because I’m loving it.”
Despite her impressive list of work, Steinfeld is no where near done. Instead, she has decided that it’s time for her other talents to shine. We got a taste for Steinfeld’s impressive vocals in Pitch Perfect 2, but I know I’m not alone in saying that I wanted to hear more. Luckily for us, Steinfeld recently announced that her first single, “I Love Me,” will come out in a handful of days.
