Steady Holiday, a rising Los Angeles-based singer whose real name is Dre Babinski, spoke to Kore about her upbringing that influenced her debut album, “Under the Influence,” released earlier this month.
Steady Holiday on why she loves music:
“I think I play music to make sense of the world and it’s nice to see people having that same relationship with music and with mine.”
On her debut album:
“There is a thread that connects all these songs, the mood and the state of mind I was in. It’s been a long process to get to the point where I’m free to share that and feel comfortable with it. I’ve already hopped on this train, and I’m forcing myself to get to a place where I know I want to be.”
