Everyone knows the best K-drama storylines involve secrecy and a little silliness — which is why we’re excited for “My Secret Romance,” slated to premiere on April 17 via simultaneous telecast on both co-producer DramaFever and the South Korean channel OCN.
Song Ji-eun, a member of K-pop girl group Secret, and Sung Hoon, who will be familiar to fans of shows like “Oh My Venus” and “Noble, My Love,” will lead the 12-episode series.

The pair play Yoo Mi and Jin Wook, who, in a world of fleeting connections, “begin their destiny with a brief but passionate romance,” according to DramaFever. When they cross paths again years later, a rollercoaster of a relationship kicks off that “keeps them on their toes as they fall in love.”
The project, co-produced by Godin Media, marks the popular streaming site’s first credit as exclusive global distributor. It will stream episodes in the Americas as they air in Korea, on Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. Eastern time.
Subtitles will be available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

DramaFever, which was acquired by Warner Bros. last year, has co-produced other K-dramas like “The Heirs” and “Cantabile Tomorrow.”
“Television production in Korea is consistently raising the bar and delivering stories that transcend country and language barriers,” DramaFever President Suk Park said in a statement. “We look forward to bringing our insight and expertise regarding both Korean drama formats and the U.S. television market to this fast-growing genre to create significant and memorable content.”
