Did you miss “Arrival,” the hand-drawn animation film by Korean American filmmaker Alex Myung, screening at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival last month? No worries — the short is now available to view on YouTube.
The film, which explores a young LGBT couple’s relationship as well the struggle of a son’s coming out to his mother, was a three-year-long endeavor for Myung, who was able to finish it with the help of a Kickstarter.
It just showed in Tel Aviv at the TLV LGBT Film Festival, as well as the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival in Toronto, according to Myung, who’s now hard at work on another short animated film featuring the “Arrival” characters.
