Online Editor for charactermedia.com
The Role:
KoreAm Journal is seeking a full-time editor to handle all aspects of the magazine’s website, charactermedia.com. Responsibilities include curating, editing and writing content, as well as managing a small team of writers. The online editor also works closely with the magazine’s editor-in-chief to generate stories for the website and bimonthly print magazine. The position is available immediately and will work out of Gardena, California.
Qualifications:
– A bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of previous journalism experience is required
– Previous experience of editing and approving copy under deadline pressure.
– The candidate must be familiar with WordPress and social media, email newsletter production, basic HTML and Google Analytics.
– Knowledge of Korean American / Asian American issues and pop culture is preferred.
