A.PRESSE × Supreme: When Japanese Precision Meets New York Streetwear

Some collaborations are designed to create noise. Supreme and A.PRESSE are taking a quieter approach.

The New York streetwear institution has partnered with Tokyo-based A.PRESSE for Fall 2026, bringing one of Japan’s most closely watched menswear labels to a significantly larger global audience.

Founded by Kazuma Shigematsu in 2021, A.PRESSE has developed a cult following by reconsidering familiar pieces of American menswear. Military jackets, denim, sweatshirts, tailoring, and workwear are recreated through exceptional fabrics, precise construction, and carefully considered vintage finishes.

That philosophy remains intact in the Supreme collaboration.

Rather than covering the collection in logos, much of the partnership allows A.PRESSE’s materials and construction to lead. A relaxed suit arrives in a cotton-silk fabric, while M-65 jackets and cargo pants receive hand-applied camouflage treatments. Leather outerwear, cashmere, shirting, and accessories round out a collection that feels unusually refined for a streetwear collaboration.

The partnership also speaks to the continued influence Japanese designers have had on the way American menswear understands its own history. For decades, Japanese brands have studied, preserved, and reinterpreted American workwear and military clothing with an attention to detail that has ultimately influenced designers back in the United States.

A.PRESSE represents the newest generation of that exchange.

For Supreme, the collaboration is a reminder that relevance doesn’t always come from working with fashion’s biggest names.

Sometimes it’s about knowing which name everyone will be talking about next.
