Fans of wry, British comedy are in for treat.
“The Wrong Mans,” which originally aired in the U.K. on the BBC and in the U.S. through Hulu, will be getting an American adaptation via Showtime.
The pilot production commitment of the series was announced earlier in April, but an official release date for the series has not been decided yet.
“The Wrong Mans” follows the story of two office workers who find their normal, everyday lives completely upturned when they witness a horrific car crash and subsequently find themselves dealing with a case of serious mistaken identity and must work against the clock to save the wife of the car crash victim.
Actor and producer Annie Chang, known for her work on “Shades of Blue” and “Master of None,” is set to play a recurring role on the show as Katie, a workaholic.
Ben Schwartz, best known for his role as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on “Parks and Recreation,” will serve as a producer and will also be playing the lead role. Jillian Bell, known for her roles on “Workaholics” and “Eastbound and Down,” will be playing Anna, a female adaptation of the original lead character, Samuel.
