Asian Dating Culture: Who to Date Based on Your Blood Type

Ever been on a date and found yourself confused because they asked you about your blood type? Don’t be too alarmed. It’s the trending  new question that people in Asia are all asking on their first date.

In today’s quick-fix culture, we need answers and we need them now. In the world of dating, this is no different. In Korean and Japanese culture, it is believed that blood types can tell you a lot about your personality. While there is no concrete scientific evidence to support this theory, Asian culture holds the same reverence for blood types as we do for horoscopes and zodiac signs.

So what if I told you that your blood type personality can determine who would be a great potential match for you? Based on the qualities and personality that each blood type possesses, you can find your perfect compliment and your worst nightmare.

Blood Type A personalities are generally very considerate, calm, honest, sensible, creative and somewhat cautious. People born with this blood type are perfectionists by nature and enjoy maintaining a system of order through rules and regulations. Due to the fact that they like following customs, they are often not very spontaneous when in a relationship. In terms of dating, Blood Type As can be great partners because they are very considerate lovers. However, because they are very slow to trust people, it can be hard for them to express their feelings and they rarely fall in “love at first sight.” But once they do decide to trust their partner, they stay deeply committed because at the end of the day, they too are hopeless romantics.

BEST MATCH: Blood Type O

Blood Type Os are the best match with Type As because they offer a sense of security to Type As tense nature. Type Os are very reliable and this provides stability for Type A perfectionists.

WORST MATCH: Blood Type B

Blood Type Bs are the worst match with Type As, especially type A women because Type As need to be in control in order to have that sense of stability. This need of structure and control can lead to being less spontaneous and impromptu, which can cause tension with Type B’s lively social nature.

Blood Type Bs are almost the exact opposite of a Type A. Unlike Type As, Type Bs are extremely social, cheerful doers. Their personalities hate being restricted and following social rules. While having a bright nature, they can also be irresponsible, selfish and at times, crave drama. In relationships, Type Bs are often more self-centered, but they love to be adventurous and keep things exciting for their partner. In terms of dating, Type Bs hate being restricted and are often attracted to many different people. Being very open and social leads to many dates. However, being so open and romantic can also lead to affairs or short term relationships.

BEST MATCH: Blood Type  O or AB

Type Os are also a great match for Type Bs because they are very easy to get along with and are very flexible. Their friendly, agreeable nature works harmoniously with Type Bs social personality. Type ABs are also a good match for Type Bs because their rationality is a good counterbalance to Type Bs more free spirited nature.

WORST MATCH: Blood Type A

As stated earlier, these two blood types are a bad match because Blood Type As cannot handle Type Bs unpredictable lifestyle. Type As crave stability in their relationships and Type Bs detest being tied down. Their paths were always facing opposite directions.

BLOOD TYPE AB

Type ABs are usually the rational type and can be both adaptable and indecisive. AB Types are the least greedy when it comes to matters of finance or love. This nature makes them very selfless when in a relationship. However, their rational attitude can make them see things very critically. When it comes to dating, ABs are very adaptable to their partners and are very sensitive and loving. Unfortunately, their indecisive nature makes it very difficult for ABs to commit in a relationship.

BEST MATCH: Blood Type AB

What better match for an AB than a fellow AB? Type ABs are very flexible and easy-going. Their calm attitude and strong moral consciousness allows them to be on the same page and makes for a cohesive relationship.

WORST MATCH: Blood Type O

While these two blood types can make amazing friends, as lovers, not so much. They can often have serious clashes if Type Os morals don’t align with ABs. However, if they could look past that, they could be great partners.

Type Os are very agreeable, friendly people. Not only are they sociable, but they are also extremely ambitious and generous. Being very optimistic can make them careless at times. This carelessness can make them seem inconsiderate sometimes towards their significant others even if it is unintentional.  In relationships they are very expressive of their feelings and will not be shy about showing affection to their partners.

BEST MATCH: Blood Type A

While Type Os can be a good match with any blood type due to their easy-going personality, they are the best fit with Type A. This is because Type As also have a high work ethic and they appreciate when a Type O is willing to step up to lead in the relationship. Type As find comfort in the fact that they can give some of their stress to Type Os.

WORST MATCH: None

Type Os are as versatile as they are sociable. Being very outgoing and easy-going by nature, they can get along relatively well with every type of blood type.
