Auli’i Cravalho, Avantika and More Set to Star in ‘Mean Girls’ Musical Film Adaptation

Get in losers; we’ve got some new faces in the Paramount+ adaptation of “Mean Girls.”

Avantika (“Spin”), Christopher Briney (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”) and Bebe Wood (“Love, Victor”) are enrolling at North Shore as ditzy Karen, the dreamy Aaron Samuels and Plastic-second in command Gretchen, respectively.

The three actors are joining the previously announced cast, which included Auli’i Cravalho as Janis Ian, Angourie Rice as Cady and Jaquel Spivey as Damian. Renée Rapp, who portrayed queen bee Regina George on Broadway, will be returning for the film adaptation. Tina Fey is set to scribe the script, with Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne directing, while Kyle Hanagami is in charge of the film’s choreography.

So if you’re excited for the return of the Plastics, make sure to keep an eye out for any and all updates on this upcoming movie-musical!
