Bong Joon-ho’s ’Snowpiercer’ Is Being Adapted Into A TNT Drama

“Snowpiercer,” the 2013 dystopian thriller by South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho, is being adapted into a TNT pilot of the same title, starring Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.

The show is set seven years after a frozen wasteland has overtaken Earth. The series’ characters, among the only survivors of humanity, are now encased within a giant, ever-moving train, and living within sections divided by class: a first-class passenger who works as the train’s voice via speakers (Connelly), a prisoner (Diggs), a fourth-class cabin girl (Annalise Basso) and a former prisoner (Sasha Frolova).

Scott Derrickson, who directed Marvel’s “Doctor Strange,” will helm the one-hour pilot, according to Deadline.

The film, led by Chris Evans and itself based on Jacques Lob’s graphic novel “Le Transperceneige,” told the story of an uprising led by a man at the poor tail-end of the train.
