CBS To Remake K-drama ‘Emergency Couple’

CBS is developing a TV comedy based on the K-drama “Emergency Couple,” according to Variety.

The series, to be titled “Love/Sick,” is a comedy written and executive produced by Lisa Parsons that follows a female doctor who captains a team of medical interns, one of whom is her ex-boyfriend.

“Emergency Couple” first aired on the Korean cable channel tvN in 2014. The show starred Song Ji-hyo and Choi Jin-hyuk as a divorced couple reunited as medical trainees in the emergency room at the same hospital.

With “Love/Sick,” the K-drama joins the ranks of other Korean TV shows such as “The Good Doctor” (set to premiere on ABC this fall) that have been picked up by American studios for adaptations.
