CBS is canceling the long-running soap opera, “As the World Turns,” and replacing it with a daily daytime talk show, which will most likely be an imitation of ABC’s “The View.”
The show, which will debut in October, will feature a roundtable of six mothers, including Julie Chen, the wife of CBS president Leslie Moonves and the current co-anchor of “The Early Show” and host of “Big Brother,” as well as Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
