‘Dr. Ken’ Cast Reacts To Cancellation

After two seasons, ABC has canceled “Dr. Ken,” the sitcom led by Ken Jeong and starring Suzy Nakamura, Albert Tsai and Krista Marie Yu.

Its 2015 debut closely followed “Fresh Off The Boat,” and marked a milestone for Asian American family-centric shows on American network television.

Jeong — whose next project will be a role on director Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation of “Crazy Rich Asians” — took to Twitter after the cancellation news broke to thank cast members and producers, saying, “Thank you!!!! I couldn’t have done this without YOU!!! Seriously, this has been an embarrassment of riches.”

He then quoted Conan O’Brien: “Nobody gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.”

Here are more reactions:

“Thank you [to] ABC and Sony for making my dreams come true,” Jeong wrote on Twitter. “I honestly can’t believe I was able to have my own show.”

We’ll miss you, Park family.
