Harvard student Esther Yi, a junior studying history and literature, will become the managing editor of The Harvard Crimson in January. Peter Zhu will become the newspaper’s new president. Zhu is the first Chinese American president and Yi is the first Korean American female managing editor of the publication.

This is significant as many Crimson staffers go on to become the world’s most influential journalists, media professionals and even U.S. presidents (John F. Kennedy once served as the paper’s business editor and Franklin D. Roosevelt was once the president of the publication).

Congratulations Esther and Peter! We look forward to seeing where talented young journalists like you take the fast-changing industry.
