Hasan Minhaj is back in action.
Minhaj’s second stand-up special, ‘The King’s Jester,’ is set to premiere Oct. 4 on Netflix. Directed by Prashanth Venkataramanujam and produced by Minhaj, the latest special showcases the TV host, comedian and actor “shar[ing] his thoughts on fertility, fatherhood and freedom of speech,” Netflix reports. The upcoming release is part of Minhaj’s ongoing partnership with the streaming service.
Minhaj landed a Peabody Award with “Homecoming King,” and from 2018 through 2020 led the political satire series “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj,” which won him a Peabody, an Emmy and a Television Academy Honor. He is the co-founder and executive officer for 186K Films and was a senior correspondent at “The Daily Show.” Minhaj is set to headline “The King’s Jester” tour in Europe, with upcoming dates in Paris and London.
