Indonesian Consulate General Extends Thank You To Los Angeles Frontline Workers

Around the globe, health care workers have found themselves on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. In Los Angeles, one of the epicenters of the virus with over 200,000 confirmed cases as of this week, that fight is particularly dire.

Recognizing the sacrifices that these everyday heroes have made, the Indonesian Consulate General has worked with director Livi Zheng and actor Ken Zheng to create “Los Angeles: A Thank You,” a short video that expresses the community’s gratitude to Angeleno frontliners. The video features Indonesian American talent and also celebrates the widespread diversity of the island nation, showcasing a variety of different people offering their sincere thanks to the #CoronaWarriors.

“This tribute is an opportunity to celebrate a medley of Indonesia’s ethnicity and culture,” says Consul General Saud P. Krisnawan. “We are grateful to have talented Indonesian diaspora like Tania Gunadi, Yoshi and Peter Sudarso, also child star Malea Emma joining us in this goodwill initiative.”
