Former Us Weekly editor-in-chief, Janice Min, is back in the world of entertainment journalism as the editorial director for The Hollywood Reporter. Min resigned from her position at Us Weekly last June wishing to get away from her job and spend more time with her husband and two sons. Now she has relocated to the West Coast and is ready to delve back into her work hoping to radically transform the publication from a weekday trade paper into a slick weekly magazine aimed at high-end readers while elevating the discussion of the entertainment industry.
In an interview, Min said she isn’t looking to turn the Reporter into Us Weekly but to significantly expand its audience while catering to the influencers of Los Angeles and the small consumer group that has a fascination with Hollywood.
