K-pop Group Seventeen Announces World Tour Dates In North America

The wait is finally over. For all you Carats, it’s time to whip out those diamond-shaped light sticks, because Seventeen just announced the North American dates for their 2020 Ode to You World Tour.

Starting on Jan. 10, 2020, the 13-member K-pop boy band will kick off the North American leg of the tour in New Jersey, and make their way through Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Mexico City, Los Angeles and San Jose before arriving at their final destination in Seattle. And if you’re worried about losing tickets to bots, don’t sweat it—you can register for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform from now through Oct. 20 to purchase tickets before the general public.

The Ode to You Tour will mark the group’s second North American run since their 2017 Diamond Edge world tour. In other words, it’s been two whole years since Seventeen’s last tour, and fans are getting antsy. After months of anticipation, Carats—Seventeen’s official fan club—are rejoicing online at the prospect of getting to see their favorite idols perform live.

But, of course, others are realizing the steep price of being a devoted K-pop fan.

Although it calls for planning ahead and hoarding all your Christmas and birthday money, it will be worth it once you get to see Seventeen and start screaming the infamous fan chant, “Say the name, Seventeen!”
