Ken Jeong Lands Leading Role in Upcoming MTV Series

Kooky comedian Ken Jeong has landed a leading role in an upcoming series on MTV, according the Hollywood Reporter.

With the casting, the project has been titled Ken Jeong Made Me Do It, with Jeong playing a fictional version of himself.

The coming-of-age comedy will center around 22-year-old Andy, who, after catching his girlfriend cheating on him, accidentally rear-ends Jeong’s fancy car. Taking pity on Andy, Jeong takes it upon himself to teach Andy how to “man up.” We can only imagine the hilarity that can ensue if and when Ken Jeong takes someone under his wing.

Rumblings of a search for a celebrity needed for the pilot were first reported back in May, when MTV gave the green light to freshman writer Andy St. Clair and Paul O’Toole (Brickleberry on Comedy Central) to develop and cast the potential half-hour episodes series.

In addition to his part in Ken Jeong Made Me Do It, Jeong will return to the sixth season of NBC’s Community, airing on Yahoo Screen next year, where he plays the ever (not-so) lovable disgraced Spanish teacher, Ben Chang.
