Our friend Marja Vongerichten and the folks at Kimchi Chronicles are hosting a video cooking contest. The idea is pretty simple: Make a video under five (5) minutes long of you cooking a recipe from Marja’s book, the companion cookbook from the PBS series.
The grand prize winner receives a year’s supply of kimchi courtesy of Hmart. Wow. The winner will also receive a one-year subscription to DramaFever, a year’s supply of CJ Bibigo Korean Pantry Set (whatever that is), and a $100 gift certificate at Hmart.com. There are also prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.
We have a copy of Marja’s book here at KoreAm and it is well worth a purchase, particularly if you are new to cooking Korean food and need clear, concise instructions and lists of ingredients with accurate measurements.
