We’re big fans of Kollaboration, but we really like Kollaboration Acoustic. It’s a lot more mellow and you really get a sense of the the talent involved. This year’s Acoustic competition will take place on Friday, June 17 and will, as usual, feature some of the best emerging musical talents from the API community.
This year’s selected artists are: Alexa Yoshimoto (Singer-Songwriter), Chrizle (Singer-Songwriter), Ensemble Memo (Symphonic Group), Jason Yano (Singer-Songwriter), Lindsey Yung (Singer-Songwriter), The Mood Junkies (Acoustic Trio), Nessa Rica (Singer-Songwriter), Teesa (Singer-Songwriter), and Tranley (Singer-Songwriter).
Kollaboration Acoustic 5 will also feature a special comedy performance by comedian KT Katara, who’s appeared on ABC Family’s Greek and Showtime’s Californication, as well as a special guest performance by Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Priscilla Ahn. (We’ve seen her live, and she’s amazing.)

The Ford Amphitheatre is located at 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East, Hollywood, CA 90068, just off the 101 Hollywood Freeway across from the Hollywood Bowl and south of Universal Studios. The grounds open two hours before showtime for picnicking. The Ford offers a number of dining options: a variety of food and beverages is available on site and box dinners for evening events may be ordered in advance. Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and drink. The Ford is disabled accessible. Portable wireless listening devices are available upon request. On-site, stacked parking
