We’ve all seen grand gestures of love in Hollywood movies and Korean dramas—planting a field of daffodils in one’s front yard, battling a Sicilian in game of wits and dashing past airport security to declare your undying love to the man or woman of your dreams. But what is true love?
Korean illustrator Puuung (퍼엉) believes that true love lies in the little things. It is about the simple yet intimate moments in our everyday lives and making them last a life time.
“Love is something that everyone can relate to. And love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives,” Puuung writes on her Facebook page. “So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artworks.”
Like snapshots, Puung’s beautiful illustrations capture the depths of one couple’s love by showing them share memories of joy, peace, sorrow and small surprises.
