‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ Adds Awkwafina and Ke Huy Quan as New Voices in the Saga’s Next Installment

The fate of kung fu hangs in the balance once more, and there’s only one Dragon Warrior that can save it. Jack Black returns as the voice of “Po” in the fourth installment of the beloved “Kung Fu Panda” series.

In the trailer’s opening moments, Po is called by destiny again to assume his responsibility as the Dragon Warrior, but this time, with a different task in mind. Po is no longer expected to fight, and instead must remain as the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. His role is short lived though, when a new evil, the Chameleon, voiced by Viola Davis, summons former master villains and possesses their kung fu. Facing an army, Po is accompanied on his journey by Zhen, voiced by Awkwafina, to seek out an army of their own to go toe-to-toe with the Chameleon. Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan also joins the ensemble as new character “Han,” the leader of the Den of Thieves.

The film also features the returning voices of Dustin Hoffman as “Shifu” and James Hong as Po’s adoptive father “Mr. Ping.”

With the next installment in the franchise on the horizon, fans of the beloved saga must wait until “Kung Fu Panda 4” hits theaters on March 8, 2024. Watch the full trailer below!
