Michelle Rhee, the current chancellor of D.C. schools, is scheduled to appear on Oprah, alongside Bill Gates. According to the Washington Post, the show will highlight “Waiting for Superman,” a documentary which focuses on several high-profile education reformers. The documentary was directed by “Inconvenient Truth” filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, who will also appear on Oprah.
Rhee’s colleague told the Washington Post that the film “depicts Rhee as the super-hero of ‘Superman,’ a combination of Wonder Woman and Xena fighting to bring the D.C. bureaucracy and Washington Teachers’ Union to heel.”
