NBC Developing New Drama Series With All-Asian Cast

NBC has reportedly ordered a new drama series from “Sleepy Hollow” producer Albert Kim. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show will have a cast comprised almost completely of talents of Asian descent.

Inspired by South Korea’s chaebols, or family-run conglomerate corporations, the series is described as a modern day “Anastasia” centered on a normal young Korean American woman who discovers she is the heir to a multinational electronics conglomerate in South Korea.

Kim will be taking charge of the script and executive produce the show alongside Dan Lin (“It”). At this time, no cast and no release date has been announced.
