North Korea’s annual Arirang Festival kicked off Aug. 1. The two-month gymnastics and artistic festival, celebrating the birthday of Kim Il-sung, showcases thousands of gymnasts and dancers moving in perfect synchronicity.
Equally amazing are the “card stunts” performed by more than 30,000 children who hold up colored placards to create various mosaics on a grand scale.
