Anveglosamade its way to the US shores during New York Fashion Week, presenting its Fall/Winter 2013 collection at Eli Klein Fine Art on Tuesday, February 12. The Hong Kong-based brand was created by Annette Chan in 2007, naming Anveglosa after her three daughters – Venus, Glori and Sabrina. Chan had in mind to design fine clothing with timeless style and eventually found success after the debut of her first collection. Her leather creations garnered her attention and Chan has used the material to globalize Anveglosa.
For the F/W 13 collection, Chan took it up a notch by presenting her largest collection to date with 12 full looks. The highlight, of course, were the leather craftsmanship on the jackets. The use of laser cut detailing and fusion of wool and fur gave the collection a breathe of fresh air that definitely will impress retailers and fashion lovers; however, the color choices – grey, brown, white, black red, dark green and blue – stuck with Chan’s fashion outlook to keep style timeless. Chan’s F/W 13 collection is a wonderful combination of what’s “in” now and what will last forever.
