There’s absolutely no way of getting in the way of this EP.
Svetha Rao aka Raja Kumari is dropping her second EP, “BLOODLINE,” today. Known for collaborating with artists like Gwen Stefani and Iggy Azalea, Kumari has also made a name for herself in pop music in her own right. By skilfully combining elements of West Coast hip-hop and Indian classical music, Kumari has created a truly unique East-meets-West sound. And we’re not talking about Biggie vs. Tupac. “BLOODLINE” will include the single “Shook” which has already racked up nearly 3 million views on YouTube. Inspire by her time in India, “BLOODLINE” is a powerful collection of songs that proudly celebrate Kumari’s Indian American roots and Californian upbringing.
“‘BLOODLINE’ asks the question, ‘Who are you?’” Kumari said in a press release. “It’s not just about your family line or your heritage. What are you willing to fight for? These battle anthems are my story, my bloodline.”
