Looking to update your summer playlist with some chill tunes? This week, give a listen to KICCC’s newest single, “Wine.”
The Canadian Chinese singer and actor just dropped the track’s dreamy music video on July 8. The third installment in his trilogy of releases, following “Here” and “Control,” is directed by Brock Newman and deals with recovering from the wounds caused by an old relationship. Melodic instrumentals and haunting vocals play as KICCC traverses a number of almost psychedelic landscapes, like an underwater world and a futuristic club, representing different aspects of healing and reincarnation.
“In ‘Wine,’ we see that reality is not immune to interpretation and that rebirth may be the possibility of infinite possibilities,” KICCC said in a recent press release. “I could relate to this as I learned more about myself, others, and the world around me. Up to this point in my life, I feel like I’ve played so many versions of myself and at given moments held certain truths that were later proven to be more than what they seemed.”
