Showrunner Soo Hugh Launches Incubator, The Thousand Miles Project

Sharpen those pencils, API writers—opportunity is coming your way!

In partnership with Universal Content Productions—a division of Universal Studio Group—the brand-new writing incubator The Thousand Miles Project is now accepting submissions. Made for the championing of API stories and narratives, the program is helmed by writer, producer and showrunner Soo Hugh, creator of the forthcoming Apple TV series “Pachinko.” The program application opened Feb. 1 and will close March 31.

Selected applicants will attend a two-day virtual workshop where they will learn about the nuts-and-bolts of television writing, producing and more, attending lectures by writers, development executives and managers. When the workshop is over, participants have the chance to submit a show concept for further program support. Up to three concepts will be selected for a 24-week development lab, in which a pilot script will be created.

Check out the Coverfly application here, and make sure to get those writing samples in by the end of this month.
