‘The Boys’ Spin-off ‘Gen V’ Shows Superheroes in the Making

For fans of “The Boys, get ready for your new fall binge. Today, Prime Video dropped the official Red Band trailer for its spin-off series, “Gen V.” “The Boys” cinematic universe expands its lore to Godolkin University, a training school for the next generation of superheroes.

The trailer opens with Brink, the professor of crime fighting, welcoming the incoming class of students. Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo, “Chilling Adventure of Sabrina” co-stars, reunite on screen as the two leads of “Gen V”, Marie Moreau and Andre Anderson. Musicians, Derek Luh and London Thor, both star as Jordan Li, a competitive student who can transform between genders. Shelley Conn (“Bridgerton”) stars as Indira Shetty, the dean of Godolkin. The series also stars Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, and Asa Germann as fellow Godolkin students. Some of “The Boys” stars reprise their roles in guest appearances.

Godolkin University is where students can hone in on their powers and develop their superhero persona, but the trailer teases a darker twist to the spin-off in true “The Boys” fashion. This is no average coming-of-age story nor college experience. There will be corruption, secrets, rivalry, fighting and bloodspill. Will the incoming Godolkin class stay true to their morals or get tangled up in something more sinister? Watch to find out. Don’t forget to set a reminder for the first three episodes releasing on Friday, Sept. 29, streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
