When Yuna Kim fell short of defending her figure skating crown at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, an entire nation was outraged by the results. In fact, an online petition titled “Open Investigation into Judging Decisions of Women’s Figure Skating and Demand Rejudgment at the Sochi Olympics” was created to bring justice to her name.
In the midst of all the anger, some people pointed out that Yuna Kim is far from a loser. After all, winning a silver medal in the Olympics is an amazing achievement. In fact, Kim even shared her sentiments on the ordeal.
“I did everything I could, so I’m satisfied,” Kim told Korean TV network SBS. “I didn’t make any mistakes, but I wasn’t as perfect as I was during practice. So I finished second, but as I said, the gold medal was never important. I did all I could, so I’m happy.”

Many South Korean netizens point out that she is still a winner in their eyes. Now, we’ve found yet another reason she’s a winner in our book.
