If you’re missing the early-2000s heyday of reality competition TV, fret not—“Queer Eye” star Tan France and model Alexa Chung are bringing the genre to digital streaming.
In the vein of series like “America’s Next Top Model” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Next in Fashion” begins with 18 designers from all over the world, as they compete to win a $250,000 cash prize and the chance to debut their collection with luxury retailer Net-a-Porter. France and Chung host the episodes, presenting different challenges based on worldwide trends and innovations in the world of fashion. Guest judges on the show include Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima, fashion mogul Eva Chen and designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Viewers looking for the dramatic fights and teary breakdowns that have become hallmarks of reality TV might be disappointed, but “Next in Fashion” does look like it’ll showcase plenty of inspiring international stories. You can watch the trailer here and decide for yourself.
