TNT Renews ‘Falling Skies,’ Starring Moon Bloodgood, For A Final Season

TNT has confirmed that it will be renewing its sci-fi post-apocalyptic drama Falling Skies for a fifth and final season, consisting of 10 episodes.

The series, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, seemed to be flailing last year, and critics were left wondering, can the show be saved?

But fans can now wait for a much more developed and steadily paced ending to the series in 2015. “Falling Skies has begun an ambitious and thrilling story arc this summer as it sets the stage for next year’s climactic final season,” said TNT president Michael Wright.

Falling Skies follows a military group of civilians and soldiers who attempt to flee a post-apocalyptic Boston after an alien invasion wiped out over 90 percent of the human population. The show stars actors Noah Wyle as Tom Mason, a former history professor with vast knowledge of military history, and Moon Bloodgood as Anne Glass, a former pediatrician who provides medical support.

In 2012, KoreAm featured Bloodgood in a cover story.
