Saturday Night Live Korea has created another viral parody of a Hollywood flick. This time, the cast tackles Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi blockbuster Interstellar.
The parody follows two male astronauts, who decide to venture to an uninhabited planet located near a black hole rather than staying on the mothership with Anne Hathaway’s character, conveniently named “Anne Hathaway” in the sketch. When the two men return to the ship, they face an unexpected twist of fate, Korean drama style.
Interstellar was a box office smash hit in South Korea, with tickets to IMAX screenings becoming almost impossible to find due to the emergence of ticket scalpers. It’s not surprising that SNL Korea would capitalize on the movie’s enormous popularity.
