For rock and soul lovers out there, have we got a treat for you! Norwegian Japanese vocal powerhouse and America’s Got Talent alum Angelina Jordan took to the 2022 Unforgettable Gala stage with her powerful renditions of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which are now available to stream on Character Media’s YouTube channel.
Hailing from Norway, the now 17-year-old Jordan gained traction as a singer nine years ago after winning “Norway’s Got Talent” with her cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday,” which drew record TV audiences nationally. From there, the singer was launched into the spotlight, and covered by publications like TIME, CNN, and BBC. More recently, Jordan took part in season two of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” in which judge Heidi Klum was so impressed with her audition, she hit the coveted “golden buzzer” passing Jordan straight through to the live shows. The singer ended up being a finalist in the competition, making it to the top ten.
At the 2022 Unforgettable Gala, Jordan first took command of the room with “Bohemian Rhapsody,” giving the iconic operatic rock anthem a smooth jazz twist, and then followed with the emotional banger “I Have Nothing,” hitting soaring notes and perfect runs all the same.
