For Honolulu-based yo-yoer Evan Nagao, yo-yoing is no joke.
Nagao secured a spot at the World Yo-Yo Contest in Iceland, which began on Aug. 10, after he placed first at the European Yo-Yo Championships in Slovakia last March.
His three-minute performance, set to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird,” was full of finger twists and yo-yo slings over his head and under his legs in an impressive rhythmic fashion.
This isn’t the first time the world has seen Nagao. He began yo-yoing at the age of 1, whose talent led him to appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Ripley’s Believe it or Not,” and “America’s Most Talented Kids.”
