NBC is set to premiere its new comedy “I Feel Bad” on Oct. 4.
Sarayu Blue, known for her roles in “No Tomorrow” and “Monday Mornings,” is joined byBrian George and Madhur Jaffrey, also of Indian descent, who play her parents. The series is executive produced by Amy Poehler.
The sitcom follows Emet (Blue), a working mother piloting an interracial, intergenerational family. The trailer takes a peek into her life, from having a sexy dream about cheating on her husband (Paul Adelstein) to being mistaken for her mother by her father. “And there it is — my ‘feel bad’ today,” she says.
“I Feel Bad” joins NBC’s other female-led comedy “Abby’s.” Both of the series’ first episodes are directed by female directors, Julie Anne Robinson and Pamela Fryman, respectively.
