What Makes A Good Director, From An Actor’s POV

Actor Tzi Ma has been an actor in Hollywood for a long time. His years of experience as a theatre actor has carried over into films and television. He has had many iconic roles over the years in films and television such as “Rush Hour,” “The Lady Killers,” “Hell On Wheels” and the coming second season of “The Man In The High Castle.”

Ma is soon to be featured in the pivotal role of General Shang in the upcoming Paramount film “Arrival” with Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker, out Nov. 11 in theaters. We spoke to Ma about his role in the film, his personal role models and about what it takes to be a great director.
