Who Wore What at Audrey’s Night Out 2011

“Audrey’s Night Out is filled with free booze, fashion plus lots of hot girls and guys. If you could only pick one, what would you choose?” While other people may be there for the alcohol and the hotties, I was there for the fashion. Here’s my fashion picks for the night:

1. Classic Cocktail Dresses
Simplicity speaks louder than you think. I am loving Nikki Soohoo‘s cocktail dress here with the heart neckline and black and nude contrast. It hugs her in all the right places and she looks absolutely stunning.

2. Short Lace Dresses
We all know lace is sexy, but I’ve seen instances where women just go too far with it that it becomes too vulgar. But our ladies at Audrey’s Night Out sure know how to work that lace to make it look classy, not trashy. I am especially a fan of Amy Ryder‘s outfit, which is perfectly styled with the necklace and belt.

3. Pop of Color
Sure it’s fall, but that doesn’t mean you have to settle down for grays and browns. We all love some color. Our assistant editor, Janice, rocks the royal blue like no other and Ally Maki can’t possibly look any cuter in that patterned red dress.

I am also in love with those blue booties from ViViD assistant editor Fiona Chan!

As for the man at the Shocking Goat booth with the pink skin? Let’s just say he made quite a statement.

4. Cropped Tops
There are so many options when it comes to finding something to match a cropped top. You can wear it with a maxi skirt, denim shorts or jeans, and you can pick whether you want your bottom garment to be low-waist, mid-waist or high-waist. Here we see them paired with a leopard maxi and high-waisted denim shorts.

5. Dresses That Make You Question
When I first saw that red dress, I was like: the top of that dress can’t possibly be just straps, can it? Well it’s not – there’s a nude colored fabric underneath, but it sure does look like it.

6. Sequins and Metallic
With flashing lights everywhere, there’s no better way to shine than to wear sequins and metallic. We see our guest performers, Blush, here in pure rock n’ roll looks. And Yvonne Lu‘s top goes so well with her skin tone!

7. Diamond Rings
Who could resist a little sparkle? (Actually more like a lot of sparkle.) We see Karin Anna Cheung flaunting her engagement ring while embracing her fiance.

8. Nautical Look
How cute is this outfit! With the navy blue and white striped blazer and the straw hat, guest Douglas Hachiya surely ain’t a wallflower.

9. Formally Casual
I like it when young guys wear sneakers, jeans and a buttoned shirt, so Tom Ngo and rapper Toestah‘s looks? I certainly approve.

10. Completely Casual
Most people may be in cute dresses and nice suits, but that doesn’t mean you have to be. If your signature style is T-shirt and jeans plus a cap, why change out of it?

And of course there’s no better way to look fabulous than to wear a bright smile on your face
