In case you needed another reminder, the 2016 Unforgettable Gala was, well, unforgettable. Here are some of the most memorable moments of the night:
That Moment When: Sulu Hugged It Out With Sulu
Presenting the Icon Award to George Takei this year was John Cho. And how does any Sulu greet another Sulu? With a nice big hug.
That Moment When: B.I.G. Became Part of the “Empire” Family
In the middle of their set, K-pop group Boys In Groove asked Terrence Howard to bring K-pop to “Empire.” And just when they thought he wasn’t paying attention, Lucious Lyons himself came up to the stage to say, “Welcome to the Empire.”
That Moment When: East West Players’ Youngest Actress Took the Stage
Araceli Prasarttongosoth has to be the cutest thing that happened at this year’s Unforgettable. Although she missed her cue the first go-around, encouragement from the more-than enthusiastic crowd had the 4-year-old belting out her lines in no time. And yes, it was adorable.
That Moment When: Eric Nam Got Ian Chen From “Fresh Off The Boat” to Dance
Continuing the cuteness, we’ve got Ian Chen, one of the stars of “Fresh Off the Boat.” During Eric Nam’s performance, Ian got invited to join him on stage. Ian, of course, took this chance to show off some fresh moves.
That Moment When: Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Accidentally) Dropped Her Award
It’s a good thing those Unforgettable awards are made sturdy, because our Director of the Year, Jennifer Yuh Nelson, dropped hers. Oops!
That Moment When: You Realized Drinks Were On the House

That Moment When: Mama Mai Taught Everyone How to Drink, “Viet Style”
Speaking of drinks, we can’t forget how we all got a drinking lesson from Mama Mai, mother of host Jeannie Mai. Một, hai, ba, vô! (pronounced mot, hi, bah, yo), everyone!
