Looks like we are staying put on the beaches of Hawaii — CBS has renewed “Hawaii Five-0,” its veteran crime procedural, for another season.
The show, which is currently in its eighth season, is a reboot of the 1960s series of the same name and focuses on an elite state police task force in the state of Hawaii.
It stars Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan, as well as Ian Anthony Dale, Dennis Chun, Taylor Wily, Kimee Balmilero, Jorge Garcia and Chi McBride. Beulah Koale and Meaghan Rath joined the cast this season.
Though “Hawaii Five-0” sparked heated conversation over pay equity last year when two of its leading stars, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, exited the show, it continues to show strong viewers’ ratings.
