Can Daniel Dae Kim make another network hit out of “Exhibit A,” his second K-drama remake?
The show, now in development at ABC, will be led by an Asian actor in the role of Andrew Cho, a charismatic former star prosecutor who’s found a new life purpose to fight for the underdogs.
The story is based on a South Korean legal drama called “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo,” which aired in 2016.
“How to Get Away With Murder” writer Warren Hsu Leonard is on board the project. So are Kim and his production company 3AD, which is behind the ratings hit “The Good Doctor,” also a K-drama remake.
Leonard, Kim and 3AD’s Rina Brannen will executive produce, according to Deadline.
