Good Partner Season 2: Cha Eun-kyung Goes Solo, and Kim Hye-yoon Moves In

SBS sets November 20, 2026 for the divorce-law drama's return, with a new firm, a new colleague who feels everything, and a Netflix release limited to South Korea.

Walking out of a big law firm to hang your own name on a door is a great power move, right up until you have to pay for the door. That’s the position Cha Eun-kyung is in when Good Partner Season 2 premieres on SBS on November 20, 2026.

Jang Na Ra returns as the veteran divorce lawyer, who has left Law Firm Daejung to open Libom, her own practice, where she serves as managing representative partner. Boutique firms look glamorous from the outside. From the inside, according to the season’s setup, they’re grueling, and Eun-kyung is building hers from the ground up while still taking on high-profile, emotionally volatile marital dissolutions.

Two lawyers, two temperaments

She can’t do it alone, so she hires Kang Hye-seong, played by Kim Hye-yoon. Hye-seong is a sharp, highly capable attorney, and her method is the opposite of her new boss’s.

Eun-kyung treats divorce as a business and a legal inevitability, and she approaches it with clinical, objective precision. Hye-seong goes into every case with deep personal empathy and emotional investment. One of them sees a file; the other sees the people in it. Put them in the same small office and the friction practically writes itself, which is presumably why Choi Yoo Na is the one writing it. Seo Min Jung directs.

It’s a neat setup for a drama about the end of marriages: the question isn’t only who gets the house, but which lawyer’s way of caring (or not caring) actually serves the client.

The cast list, season 2 edition

Alongside Jang Na Ra, P.O and Ji Seung Hyun are back. P.O plays Jeon Eun Ho and Ji Seung Hyun plays Kim Ji Sang. The new lead names are Kim Hye-yoon and Park Hae Jin, who plays Park Tae Su. Cha Yu Jin joins in a supporting role as Sim Hyeon Ju.

Kim Hye-yoon is the headline addition. She has led Lovely Runner, Snowdrop and Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, and appeared in Netflix’s No Tail to Tell. Park Hae Jin has yet to star in a Netflix project, though he has led The Killing Vote, Genesis and Forest. Netflix carries three of his older shows: My Love from the Star, Man to Man and Doctor Stranger.

Jang Na Ra has never headlined a Netflix Original, but VIP and The Last Empress are on Netflix US, and her credits also include Taxi Driver season 3, My Happy Ending and Sell Your Haunted House. P.O was recently in Netflix’s Teach You a Lesson, and Hotel Del Luna is on the service. His other K-drama credits include Mouse, More Than Friends and Encounter. Ji Seung Hyun’s Netflix credits include The Good Detective, Hello Me, Svaha: The Sixth Finger and You Are My Spring; he has also played lead roles in Korea-Khitan War, No Mercy and Do You Want to Eat. Cha Yu Jin has appeared in Hospital Playlist and Our Blues.

Where and when

The season runs 16 episodes of 70 minutes each, released on Fridays and Saturdays. That makes it a weekend ritual, so clear your Friday night in advance.

Now the geography. Netflix will stream the drama, but only in South Korea. Everywhere else, it goes to Rakuten Viki and Viu in supported international territories. Season 1 was available on Apple TV, Wavve and Viki, so viewers outside Korea may want to check which of those apps still apply before settling in.

Whichever screen you use, the pitch is simple: a woman who has always been the best at detachment hires someone who can’t manage it, and both of them have bills to pay. November 20 is the date.
