‘Blindspot’ Writer Working On Korean American Drama For NBC

Christina Kim, the writer and executive producer behind NBC’s “Blindspot,” will work with her co-executive producer Martin Gero to bring a Korean American drama series to life for the network.

The untitled project — about three half-Korean women — has received a script commitment from NBC, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The three women, heiresses to their white father’s global Asian food empire, are forced to pick a side between him and their Korean mother when he goes to jail. Much of the show will center around the women’s identity and cultural dilemma.

Kim’s other works include “Hawaii Five-0,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Miami Medical” and “Ghost Whisperer,” for which she produced. She also wrote episodes for “Lost.”
