Gemma Chan, who’s been busy doing everything from her TV show “Humans” to the latest “Transformers” film to “Crazy Rich Asians,” has locked in another project, this time the thriller pic “Dear Agnes.”
“Dear Agnes,” the second in a trilogy of films by Daniel Alfredson, is based on Hakan Nesser’s novels, and will “deal with the problems of escape, with dark hidden secrets destined to surface, and with the concepts of guilt, revenge and atonement,” according to Deadline.
Chan will lead the film alongside Carla Juri, a Swiss actress who is set to appear in the coming “Blade Runner 2049.”
Chan, who was born in England, began her career as a fashion model on a U.K. reality show before transitioning into acting. Her credits also include “Stratton: First Into Action,” a British film released this year.
