A married managing director for Goldman Sachs was arrested for the rape of a young woman in a rented house in East Hampton, N.Y., according to news reports.

Jason Lee, 37, was arraigned on a charge of first-degree rape on Wednesday and posted bail of $20,000, the New York Times reported.

Details of the case were sketchy but the Times said East Hampton police responded to a call at the four-bedroom vacation home Lee had rented for the month of August with his wife.

“While investigating, officers learned that a 20-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted inside the residence where several people had gathered,” police said in a statement.

It is unclear how Lee was acquainted with the accuser. However, local newspaper East Hampton Starcited an anonymous police source who said that the alleged crime took place earlier this week at a pool party “which apparently involved nudity.”

An attorney representing Lee said his client was innocent and that Lee “adamantly denies” all accusations against him.

“We look forward to clearing his name in a court of law,” Edward Burke, Jr., told the New York Times.

Bloomberg, citing an unnamed source, stated that Lee is the head of Goldman’s convertible securities group and was placed on leave following his arrest. Lee graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, according to the Milken Institute.

Lee’s exact ethnicity was unclear at the time of this report.
