J-pop EXILE’s Naoki Kobayashi is ‘The Earthquake Bid’ Love Interest

Naoki Kobayashi, the actor and member of the J-pop band EXILE, will star opposite Alicia Vikander in Netflix’s upcoming film “The Earthquake Bird,” according to Deadline.

The film, based on the book of the same name by the British author Susanna Jones, follows Lucy Fly, a translator employed in Tokyo who becomes involved in the murder case of her friend Lily. Lucy begins a relationship with Teiji, a handsome local photographer.

Kobayashi will play Teiji, a handsome local photographer who is entangled in a love triangle with Lucy (Vikander) and Lily (Riley Keough).

“The Earthquake Bid” is directed by Wash Westmoreland.

Kobayashi, who is also a dancer in the Sandaime J Soul Brothers, has appeared in TV dramas like “Night Hero Naoto” and “Kuroha” in his native Japan.
