Jun Choi For Congress

Former Edison mayer, Korean American Jun Choi, announced he is running for Congress in the 7th District.

“I’m running for Congress because we need to revitalize New Jersey and America’s middle class,” Choi said in a statement released last week. Choi, who is running against GOP Rep. Leonard Lance, a former state senator, was mayor of Edison from 2006 to 2009. Since then, Choi has been an adjunct professor at Rutgers University.

“The success we’ve had in revitalizing Edison will serve as a blueprint for America — more jobs, more fiscal discipline and an innovative public education system to build the work force of tomorrow,” said Choi. “I’m honored to receive the support of so many community leaders, and will work as hard as I can to bring a better future for New Jersey in the 21st century.”

If Choi wins, he’ll represent parts of Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset and Union Counties.
