K-Pop Playlist: Summer Road Trip Edition

As the summer months dwindle down to August and all the excitement of June and July starts to slow down, you might feel tempted to load up your car and get away for a bit. If that sounds like you right now, let us recommend a few K-pop tracks to add to your road trip playlist, with both old and new K-pop releases:

“Tomorrow, Today” – JJ Project

We almost gave up all hope of this Got7 duo making a comeback, but it looks like JB and Jinyoung haven’t given us the best of them, yet. Giving their upbeat, high-energy dance vibe from their “Bounce” days a rest, the boys have come back with a more mature sound, reflecting their growth over the five-year hiatus. Their title song, “Tomorrow, Today,” is a soft rock ballad that shows off the duo’s vocal teamwork and will resonate with anyone who’s ever been confused about life.

“Love Whisper” – GFRIEND

Although the girls of GFRIEND aren’t road tripping in the music video of their newest title song, their cheerful new track will make you want grab a handful of your closest girlfriends and get lost in the nearest national park. With a colorful video, sharp choreography and the girls’ sweet vocals, this song gives us the best of GFRIEND for the summer.

 “Solo Day” – B1A4

No K-pop road tripping playlist can be complete without this insanely catchy title song from B1A4. Making a complete 180 from their previous album, the boys of B1A4 took a more laid-back approach and came out with a track that will have you bopping your head along for the whole car ride.

“In the Summer” – INFINITE

While INFINITE is best known for their ’80s synth pop-rock sound, this acoustic gem reminds us that they also have a solid vocal backing. “In the Summer” is a refreshing, easy-listening song that perfect to play in the car while trying to beat the summer heat.

“Runaway” – SHINee

This funky electro track off SHINee’s “Misconceptions” album is filled with lyrics about seizing the moment and giving in to the urge to pack up and hit the road. If SHINee asked you to run away, would you take the offer?
